Happy Birthday to ME!

I have had a GREAT birthday week. Yes, thats right, a birthday week. I don't just celebrate for a day. My family and friends are so good to put up with me. I love you all very much. Thanks so much for everyone who made my birthday so much fun.


The madness started on the 22nd with a lunch at Senor Tequila with Mom, Amanda, Kealyn, and our friends April, Lori, and her son Luke. That evening there was a "suprise" party with Kyle's family. It was lots of fun. They had Rib Crib and a pink polka dot cake. It was very nice of them to go through so much trouble for me.

I got a bunch of cute stuff including a small digital camera to keep with me at all times. Guess what. It's pink!!!!

The pink polka dot cake was so cute and very yummy. Nana made me this awesome flower arrangement. It smelled so good and was gorgeous!

On my actual birthday, April 24, I got a great birthday lunch with Mom, Amanda, Shelly, Macey, Darcey, Emalee, Kealyn, and Landyn at Senor Tequila. I went there twice in 1 week because I got to pick and no one could complain. Ha!Thanks, Shelly, for taking the picture!

They made me wear this stupid sombrero. The waiter asked for a dance but I had to turn him down. They also brought a shot of tequila which I turned down as well. I think my camera lens has a smudge.

That evening I went to dinner at Red Lobster with Amanda and family, Mom, Kyle and Landyn, and my brother, Ben. It was very nice of him to make the trip from Norman for my birthday. We were not the best of friends growing up but I love him so much! Thank you Mom for a great dinner!

When I got home from dinner, I was doing my daily check of my friend's blogs and saw that our long-time friend Laura had published a blog all about ME! You can view it HERE. It almost made me cry! Thanks Laura! You are so sweet.

Going On A Walk

Since it was such a nice evening, we decided to go for a walk. The temperature was perfect and Landyn had a great time looking around and checking out his car. It was fun.

Kyle loves being outside and loves to share this time with Landyn.

During the walk Landyn was doing all of his tricks: patty cake, waving, etc. Here is his trick we like to call "uh ba ba ba". Neat, huh?

He didn't want to face the front. He liked watching me walk. (I'm sure it was VERY entertaining!) I asked Kyle after a while, "Are you tired yet?" He said, "No. Why, are you?" "No," I replied. "I was just making sure you were okay." Ya right. I was ready to take a nap!

Pretty Day

It was a pretty day for most of the day today. My mom's yard is so pretty that I decided to take Landyn's picture. These pictures do not do the flower beds justice. I had to be very picky about where Landyn could sit.

He was not happy when I first sat him down. He has been clingy lately.

Today my sister and I went shoe shopping for the kids. We did not buy anything, but we did try some cute sandals on Landyn. He thought it was fun.

The other morning when Landyn woke up, he had his foot sticking out of his jammies. It made me crack up. I love the way that his eyes look when he wakes up. It is so sweet.

An evening with Noah

Last Tuesday night Kyle's sister, Jana, and her little boy,Noah, came over for pizza(thats right-2 nights in a row!) so that the boys could play. They had a lot of fun. Noah decided that he would pose for the camera. It was hilarious!

Happy Birthday, Nan!!!!

Nan had a birthday last Thursday. We spent the whole day with her and then we all went to Bonefish for dinner. That place is great!
After dinner the kids were in good moods. They all LOVE Nanny!

Landyn has started really moving a lot whenever he crawls and he is getting much faster. The other day I went in my room to get my shoes and came back in the living room and could not find him. After 5 seconds of panic I found him in the middle of my kitchen floor clapping for himself. I cracked up.

A different day I was cooking and he crawled in to the kitchen and started digging through his bag. He's a funny one.

Another pizza night

Monday night was pizza night again as LOVED it! He is trying to cut back on the baby food, but I trick him and get those fruits and veggies in between bites of big boy food. It is very entertaining to watch him eat. It is also very messy and takes some major clean up when he is finished.

This is something that rarely happens- a picture with mommy. I know that all of the moms out there understand that. I occasionally ask Kyle to take our picture so that Landyn will remember that I was there when he was a baby.

Lunch on Sunday

My great friend Heather was in town from Texas this weekend with her husband James and they took me out to lunch for my birthday. We had a great time. I always enjoy seeing her, especially since she is one of the few friends that I have kept in touch with. Landyn tried to eat her purse.
