Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to my Mom's house. We had a wonderful, relaxing day. The kids had so much fun playing together and opening their gifts.
Mom got to open her gift first from all of us-a bunch of Brighton!

Emee loving on her Landy

Unca and Landyn were playing "Hew-oooo" with the play cell phones!

Amanda got a super cute coat from Mom

Landyn was having SO much fun!

Mom got both of our families these Santa bags. They were so cute and came in VERY handy over the course of 4 Christmases that we have had so far!
Landyn got Elmo house shoes from Aunt Mana

The kids took their bath at Mom's house and were so cute in their matching Chez Ami jammies

I couldn't believe that they all sat there and smiled for me! They were so sweet!

Gingerbread Houses

Last week Mom brought the girls over to make Gingerbread houses. We had a great time and the girls did such a wonderful job!

The girls wore their aprons to keep from getting too messy!

I was in charge of making the gingerbread house with cookies, candy, and icing. The girls took turns helping me and it turned out so cute! (Until I tripped in the garage the next day and broke off part of the roof! I think Mom fixed it though!)

Mom was in charge of making the "foam" gingerbread house. This also turned out adorable! The girls hot glued it together and decorated it with foam pieces.

Here are the finished products. Pretty cute! Landyn had a great time trying out all of the candy. The girls were so sweeet and did a wonderful job!

Landyn does NOT love Santa!

A couple of weeks ago we visited the Christmas Train with Amanda, Kraig, the girls, and Mom. We had such a great time. Landyn LOVED the train and all of the lights. One thing that he didn't like so much........SANTA!

He just stood there for a little bit checking out the situation.

And then he looked back at Mommy and Daddy for support. "Should I go with the girls?"

"No, I shouldn't have"

I think that this is just hilarious. He did not even get to tell Santa that he wants a play kitchen for Christmas.

A picture with Daddy while we wait for the train

Last week we went to a Christmas party for Kyle's work and Santa was also there. We had to see him in order to get our toy, so here's what happened....

Enough said!

Later, Landyn got to play games with Daddy and had so much fun!

Christmas is so fun this year because Landyn has discovered the tree, Santa and loves toys. But most of all because he is such a joy! We have been SO blessed this year in so many ways.

First Haircut

My baby got his first haircut today. I asked for a trim. I even said the words "just a little bit", "I still want curls all over", and "I don't want it cut to his neck line, I want it longer with curls"! But what did we get, a scalping! I am very sad and wish that the man would have listened to me, but he was too busy saying, "Now he'll look like a boy" and "This is as long as I can make it for a boy haircut", etc. Geez. Of course, Daddy likes it. But I am sitting here crying and every time I look at him I cry even harder! His curls are too short!

Last night before the haircut. Pretty curls.

He was so cranky and was ready for his bath!

It was pretty long in the back when it got wet

We were sticking his hair up for a picture, and he kept pushing it back down!

Waiting for Daddy to come home so that we could go get the haircut

Sweet curly headed boy

Getting ready

He thought the razor tickled. Here I was wondering why you would use a razor for a trim!

The barber gave him a sucker and he loved it. He was a perfect boy!

Giving Daddy a lick. Gross!

He offered me a lick, but I declined. No, thanks!

Can you see how short it is? I dont even think I got an ending picture because I was in shock!

I lOVE this picture of him. He looks like the sweet baby that he is!

All done! The curls are almost all gone in the back. It is short with a straight cut at his neckline(I thought I specified that I didnt want that) and around his ears. There is a little bit of curls left on top. That is what he cut last and I think that he could tell I was a little upset! Landyn looks adorable of course, but too old and too clean cut. Lets just say we are growing it back out.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a great Thanksgiving this year. We have SO much to be thankful for!!!

This is such a sweet picture of the kids. This was taken by the pond behind Mom's house. I am so thankful for these 3 sweet kids!!!

We started our day by going over to Kyle's parents house to visit with Nana, Pa, Mandy, and Grannie. Around 1:00 we went to Kyle's other grandparents house for lunch with his dad's side of the family. Landyn had so much fun playing outside with the ball!

Riding the 4-wheeler with Daddy! He went VERY slowly and I was still about to have a heart atttack the whole time. But Daddy and Landyn loved it!

"Ball!"

Giving Mommy a kiss!

Around 4, we went over to Mom's. Her table and house looked so pretty!

Unca Ben with Landyn

Passing out more kisses to Emee

This will be one of the last pictures of Landyn with "longer" hair. We are getting a trim tomorrow! :(

Landyn loved the cheesy rice

So sleepy-he only had a 30 minute nap all day!

Teasing Emee by using her blankie
On Friday we went to Dad's and had Thanksgiving there. I did not get any good pictures, but the food was so yummy!
